UK distributor Apex DST has bolstered its mountain bike offering with the addition of two new brands, while also strengthening its sales presence north of the border.
The company has confirmed it will now handle distribution for Canadian marque Devinci Bikes, known for its trail and enduro machines, alongside German component specialist Trickstuff, whose high-end brakes have long enjoyed a cult following among gravity riders and enduro racers. Both brands join an existing stable that has positioned Apex DST as a go-to distributor for performance-focused off-road kit in the UK market.
Alongside the new brand signings, Apex DST has appointed Andrew Dodds as its dedicated Sales Agent for Scotland. Dodds will work directly with independent bike shops across the country, helping to build stock relationships and product knowledge for the expanding portfolio as the distributor looks to deepen its reach outside of England.
For riders, the move should mean easier access to Devinci frames and Trickstuff’s much-admired braking systems through local dealers, rather than relying solely on imports or direct-to-consumer routes. Trickstuff brakes in particular have built something of a reputation among enthusiasts for their power and feel, but have historically been tricky to get hold of in the UK, so wider distribution is likely to be welcomed by trail and enduro riders looking to upgrade their setups without lengthy waits.
The appointment of a Scotland-specific sales agent also signals a broader push by distributors to support the country’s thriving mountain bike scene, from the trail centres of the Tweed Valley to the enduro circuit, where strong dealer networks and brand availability matter just as much as they do south of the border.
