O2C Cycling brings on Velovice for UK trade push

Performance cycling footwear brand O2C has signed Velovice as its official UK sales representative, in a move designed to strengthen its foothold with independent retailers across the country.

The arrangement means Velovice will now handle trade relations on O2C’s behalf, acting as the main point of contact for bike shops and specialist stockists rather than leaving retailers to deal directly with the brand from overseas. O2C says the appointment reflects a wider strategy of international expansion, with the UK seen as a key market for its shoe range aimed at road and performance riders.

Rather than relying solely on trade shows or occasional visits, the brand wants a permanent, on-the-ground presence that can respond quickly to retailer queries, manage stock and support product launches throughout the year. For independent shops, that kind of dedicated representation can make a real difference when it comes to ordering flexibility, warranty support and simply having someone to call when something goes wrong.

Neither company has yet detailed which specific shops will carry the O2C range under the new arrangement, though further announcements are expected as the partnership beds in over the coming months.

For riders, this sort of behind-the-scenes deal rarely makes headlines, but it often shapes what actually turns up on shop shelves. A stronger UK sales presence typically means better stock availability, more consistent sizing and fitting advice, and a smoother path for warranty claims – all things that matter far more once you’re stood in a shop trying on shoes than any amount of marketing copy. As performance footwear becomes an increasingly competitive part of the cycling market, brands that invest in proper UK support may find themselves with an edge over rivals who treat the country as an afterthought.
