Veloe Dresses Longtail E-Cargo Bikes in New Espresso Finish
Italian e-cargo specialist Veloe has rolled out a special-edition colourway for its popular multi and multi lungo longtail e-bikes, drawing inspiration from the country’s coffee culture rather than its cycling heritage for once.
Dubbed the Espresso 2026 Edition, the limited run brings a rich, dark brown finish to both the standard multi and the longer-wheelbase multi lungo, unifying the two models under a single distinctive livery. Both versions continue to use Shimano’s EP5 mid-drive motor system, a proven choice for cargo applications thanks to its strong low-speed torque and reliability under load.
Pricing is set at u20ac3,199 for either model, putting the Espresso edition in line with the standard specification bikes rather than commanding a premium purely for the cosmetic update. As with the rest of the multi range, the bikes are aimed at riders wanting a practical, family-friendly cargo solution capable of hauling children, shopping or work equipment without stepping up to a full box-bike format.
Longtail e-cargo bikes like these have become increasingly common on UK streets over the past few years, offering a lighter and more manoeuvrable alternative to traditional box cargo bikes while still carrying serious loads. For readers considering a switch from car-based school runs or errands, the arrival of well-specced, motor-assisted longtails at accessible price points is good news, even if this particular limited colourway will likely appeal more to early adopters and coffee aficionados than to bargain hunters.
Availability details for the UK market have not yet been confirmed, but Veloe’s wider range is already stocked by several European cargo bike specialists, suggesting the Espresso edition should filter through to British dealers in due course.
