Protective coatings specialist GTechniq set for first CIN Live appearance in 2026

Surface protection brand GTechniq has confirmed it will exhibit at Cycling Industry News Live (CIN Live) for the first time when the trade event returns in 2026, joining a growing list of newcomers to the show.

The company, better known in car detailing circles for its ceramic coatings and ancillary care products, has been expanding into the bike trade in recent years. At CIN Live it plans to present its current range of frame and component protection treatments while making the case to independent bike shops that in-store application services can offer a useful additional income stream beyond bike sales and standard servicing.

Details of GTechniq’s stand plans remain limited for now, though the firm has signalled it intends to use the event to demonstrate how retailers might build paid-for coating and maintenance packages into their offer, potentially appealing to customers investing in higher-value road, gravel and e-bike machines who want to protect their finish and componentry from grime, UV damage and general wear.

CIN Live has steadily grown into one of the UK cycle trade’s key calendar dates, giving manufacturers, distributors and shop owners a chance to trial new products and business ideas face to face. GTechniq’s arrival reflects a wider trend of crossover brands eyeing the bike market as riders spend more on premium equipment and look for ways to keep it looking and performing well for longer.

For everyday riders, this sort of development matters less for what’s on the shop floor and more for what it says about where retailers see growth: as bike prices climb, workshops offering protective treatments and detailing services alongside repairs could become a more common sight on the high street.
