Stan’s targets road and gravel racers with new premium sealant

Stan’s NoTubes has added a new sealant to its range, aimed squarely at riders who want to shave grams and reduce rolling resistance without compromising on puncture protection. Named Rolled Gold, the formula has been engineered specifically for road and gravel tyres, rather than being a repurposed version of the brand’s existing mountain bike sealants.

According to Stan’s, Rolled Gold is both the lightest and quickest-sealing product it has produced to date. The company says the new mixture has been tuned to close small punctures almost instantly at speed, addressing one of the main concerns riders have when switching from tubed to tubeless setups on faster road and gravel machines.

Weight has clearly been a priority in the sealant’s development, reflecting the wider trend in road and gravel racing towards marginal gains, where every gram and every watt saved can make a difference over long distances or in competitive situations.

For UK riders, particularly those racing gravel events or long road sportives, tubeless setups have become increasingly popular thanks to the lower risk of pinch flats and the ability to run lower pressures for comfort and grip. A sealant that reacts faster and adds less rotational weight could be a welcome upgrade for anyone chasing performance without wanting to gamble on reliability out on remote lanes or gravel tracks, where a slow puncture can easily end a ride early.

Stan’s has built its reputation over the years on tubeless innovation, and this latest release suggests the brand is keen to maintain its position as tyre setups continue to evolve across disciplines. Riders considering the switch, or those looking to refresh their current system ahead of the new season, may want to keep an eye out for Rolled Gold as it becomes more widely available through UK retailers.
