ZyroFisher Bolsters Bike Shop Support with South West Hire

Distributor ZyroFisher has added to its independent bicycle dealer (IBD) sales team with the appointment of Anthony Evans as its new South West Account Manager. Evans arrives with more than two decades of industry experience behind him, having most recently worked at fellow distributor Saddleback.

His career path began on the shop floor at The Bike Shed, where he cut his teeth in retail management before moving into account management roles that have given him a broad understanding of both the trade and consumer sides of cycling. ZyroFisher says this blend of experience will help him build closer working relationships with dealers across the region.

The move comes as ZyroFisher continues to expand its dedicated regional support network, a strategy aimed at keeping independent shops properly serviced as they juggle stock levels, brand relationships and shifting customer demand in a tighter retail market.

For riders, appointments like this one matter more than they might first appear. Independent bike shops remain the backbone of local cycling communities – the first port of call for fitting advice, warranty issues and last-minute race-day fixes – and a well-resourced account management team behind the scenes can translate directly into better product availability and service on the shop floor. As distributors sharpen their regional focus, it’s ultimately dealers, and the cyclists who rely on them, who stand to benefit.
