Eurobike Reverses Course, Confirms Summer Return to Frankfurt for 2027

Eurobike, the cycling industry’s largest European trade show, has performed a notable about-turn on its 2027 scheduling, confirming it will revert to a June/July slot in Frankfurt after previously proposing to shift the event to different dates.

The organisers had floated changes to the calendar as part of a wider rethink of the show’s format, but the plan met with pushback from exhibitors, brands and retailers who argued that a summer date in Frankfurt better suits product launch cycles and buyer schedules. Eurobike has openly acknowledged the show has faced a turbulent few years – including falling exhibitor numbers and shifting industry priorities since the pandemic-era boom – and says it has taken the criticism on board.

Confirming the reversal, organisers described the decision as a direct response to feedback from the trade community, framing it as evidence that Eurobike is willing to listen rather than push through unpopular changes regardless. The show’s traditional early-summer timing has long been valued by manufacturers wanting to showcase new ranges ahead of the following season, and by media and dealers who use the event to plan autumn and spring buying.

For UK riders, Eurobike’s scheduling might seem like a distant industry squabble, but the show has an outsized influence on what ends up in British bike shops. Many of the components, frames and accessories reviewed and raced on this side of the Channel are first unveiled on the Frankfurt show floor, so a stable, predictable calendar helps keep the pipeline of new gear – and the information riders rely on before buying – flowing smoothly.
