Bosch eBike Systems Sees Strong Demand for UK Training Roadshow
Bosch eBike Systems has reported a strong response to its forthcoming UK and Ireland training tour, with more than four in five available places already snapped up ahead of the sessions starting in late October.
The programme, aimed at retailers, mechanics and industry staff, is designed to build technical knowledge and confidence around Bosch’s drive systems, diagnostics and servicing procedures. With electric bikes now accounting for a growing share of bike shop sales and workshop bookings, manufacturers have been investing heavily in dealer-facing education to ensure customers get reliable support once they’ve bought a bike.
Bosch has not detailed the full list of venues or session content, but the high uptake suggests bike shops are keen to keep pace with increasingly sophisticated e-bike technology, from motor firmware updates to battery diagnostics, rather than relying solely on manufacturer call centres or return-to-base repairs.
For riders, this kind of investment in aftersales training matters more than it might first appear. E-bikes remain a significant financial outlay, and confidence that a local shop can diagnose and fix problems quickly – rather than shipping a bike off for weeks – is often cited as a key factor in owner satisfaction. As more cyclists switch to pedal-assist for commuting, gravel adventures and even competitive events, a well-trained network of mechanics could prove just as important as the hardware itself in keeping riders on the road.
Further details on the tour’s remaining dates and availability are expected to be released by Bosch eBike Systems in the coming weeks.
