Trade Round-Up: Fresh Mountain Bike Kit and Accessories Land for Autumn
Industry trade title BikeBiz has published its August sector round-up, spotlighting new mountain bike hardware, accessories and clothing due to reach UK bike shops in the coming weeks. The guide, compiled for retailers ahead of the autumn buying season, features releases from a spread of brands including Norco and Fabric.
Among the products highlighted is Fabric’s Honey handlebar grip range, distributed in the UK by Windwave, continuing the brand’s long-running line of ergonomic grips aimed at trail and enduro riders. Norco also features with updates to its off-road bike range, part of a wider showcase that BikeBiz says reflects where component and clothing brands are focusing their attention for the second half of the year.
These trade guides are aimed primarily at bike shop buyers rather than consumers, giving retailers early sight of stock that will filter through to showroom floors and online stores from late summer onwards. For everyday riders, though, they offer a useful early indicator of which brands are pushing hardest into the mountain bike accessories and apparel space, and what might be worth waiting for before splashing out on new kit.
For On Track readers with half an eye on winter training rides or the tail end of the enduro season, this kind of trade coverage is a handy early-warning system. Grips, gloves and technical clothing rarely grab headlines the way new frames or groupsets do, but they’re often the small upgrades that make the biggest difference to comfort and control on rough terrain. Keep an eye on your local shop’s shelves over the next month or two, as several of the products featured in this round-up should start appearing at retail before the clocks go back.
