Taichung Bike Week Set to Draw 260 Firms for 2026 B2B Showcase
Taiwan’s bicycle trade will once again converge on Taichung this September, as organisers confirm that 260 companies will take part in the 2026 edition of Taichung Bike Week. Running from 15 to 18 September, the appointment-only business event will spread across 311 booths hosted at three hotel venues: The Splendor Hotel Taichung, Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taichung and Tempus Hotel Taichung.
Unlike consumer-facing bike shows, Taichung Bike Week operates on a closed-door, meetings-based model, allowing manufacturers, component suppliers and global buyers to conduct focused business discussions away from public crowds. The format has made it a key fixture on the industry calendar, particularly for firms sourcing frames, drivetrains, e-bike systems and other components from Taiwan’s deep manufacturing base.
Organisers say this year’s gathering reflects continued confidence in the region’s supply chain, with exhibitor numbers holding steady despite wider economic pressures affecting the cycling trade globally over the past couple of years. Taichung has long been regarded as one of the world’s most important hubs for bicycle production, home to major names in frame-building, gearing and electric drive units.
While it’s very much a behind-the-scenes trade event rather than something British riders will attend, the outcomes matter well beyond Taiwan. Deals struck in these hotel meeting rooms often shape what turns up on UK shop floors twelve months later – from new e-bike motor tech to lighter frame materials and updated component groups. For anyone keeping an eye on where next season’s gear is coming from, Taichung Bike Week is where much of that groundwork gets laid.
Further details on exhibitor lists and specific product focuses are expected to be released by organisers closer to the event date.
